TGNPDCL electricity complaints: official contacts and a follow-up checklist
Start with the supplier named on your electricity bill. This guide is for TGNPDCL customers; another supplier may use a different process. Keep your service number, location and a short description together before contacting customer care.

1. Confirm which service you are reporting
Use a recent bill to identify the supplier and the connection concerned. If you manage more than one property, match the service number to the affected address before making a report. A payment transaction number and an electricity service number describe different things; keep each labelled in your notes.
For TGNPDCL, start from the official utility website. Its services area separates consumer grievances from bill payment, new connections and changes to an existing service. Choose the route for your actual task rather than submitting a new-connection request to report an existing supply problem.
2. Use the published supply-complaint contacts
The TGNPDCL homepage lists 1800 425 0028 or 1912 for supply-related complaints, available around the clock. The Jagtial district administration’s electricity department page also lists these customer-care numbers.
Have a short account ready: “My service number is [number], at [location]. The problem is [description] and I first noticed it at [time and date].” Describe what you observed rather than guessing the technical cause. Ask what reference to retain and what the next step will be. This outline is preparation advice, not a mandatory script.
3. Start online enquiries from the current homepage
The utility homepage links a Consumer Grievance Portal and separately lists Consumer Forum information. Follow the current link from that page. A saved search result may point to an older screen, and a grievance forum is not automatically the same route as a routine supply report.
If the linked portal does not open, use the published customer-care contact or ask the relevant office how to proceed. Do not assume that a failed page means a complaint was registered.
4. Keep one clear follow-up record
Write down the contact date, the route used, the service number, any complaint reference and the response you received. If an acknowledgement arrives, save it with the same record. For an online submission, retain the success screen or reference before leaving the page.
When following up, begin with the existing reference. Add what has changed and when, rather than sending a different account of the original issue. If a record is marked resolved but the problem continues, explain the remaining issue and ask how it should be reviewed. Do not treat an acknowledgement as proof that work is complete.
5. Keep other service requests separate
For a new connection or a change to service details, return to the utility’s service menu and read that request’s current requirements. For a separate certificate or government application, our Telangana service-portal guide explains how to identify the correct department and keep application references.
Keep bills and full service references private. When asking neighbours about a shared interruption, you can describe the locality and timing without publishing your account details.
